radar level gauge in the selection, according to the volume and shape of the container to judge, but also consider the impact of corrosion, foam, steam and so on.
1. liquid container on radar selection
is in an open pool, water tank, or natural water, it has no effect on the radar used. All three can be used.
on a closed container, the guided wave radar level gauge can be installed on the connecting pipe of DN40 at the minimum, and the low-frequency bell mouth radar and the high-frequency bell mouth can be installed on the connecting pipe of DN50 at the minimum, provided that there is no stirring, foam, steam and vacuuming. In these cases, the high-frequency radar should be installed on the flange of DN100 at the minimum, and the low-frequency radar should be installed on the flange of DN150at the flange.
guided wave radar level gauge are made of 304 material by default. 316 material can be used for general corrosive liquid, and PTFE lining can be used for strong corrosive liquid such as hydrochloric acid and nitric acid.
The flange and bell mouth of the low-frequency bell mouth radar are made of 304 material by default. In case of general corrosive liquid, 316 material can be selected. In case of strong corrosive liquid such as hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, PTFE shall be sprayed.

in the encounter of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and other strong corrosive liquid, more suitable for low frequency rod radar and high frequency rod radar. Both radars are designed for use in highly corrosive environments. It should be noted that the blind area of low-frequency rod radar is relatively large, with 0.5-0.7 meters, which is not suitable for small tanks.
3. with foam liquid selection
; The foam of no more than 2cm on the surface of the liquid has little effect on the measurement. If the foam exceeds 2cm, pay attention to the thickness of the foam and the size of the foam.
in foams measuring more than 2cm, small foams are less likely to be penetrated by radar electromagnetic waves than large foams. At the same thickness, the thicker the foam, the less likely it is to penetrate.
In this case, low frequency horn radar is more suitable than high frequency horn radar. If there is no adhesive foam, the guided wave radar level gauge can easily penetrate the foam and correctly measure the liquid level below the foam.
4. with steam environment
there is steam environment, there is not much impact on the guide radar. The impact on the low-frequency horn radar is minimal, and the high-frequency horn radar is also affected.
