1. installation position
refer to the arrow pointing on the sensor nameplate for installation, make sure that the arrow pointing is consistent with the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline. The stable flow state of the medium is a prerequisite for the correct volume flow measurement of the vortex flowmeter. The direction diagram in the figure below is the direction of fluid flow.

the direction of the fluid on the sensor body and the direction of the stop body
2. The flowmeter can be installed in any installation direction in the pipeline. When installing, it is best to refer to the instructions to select the best installation direction: when measuring liquid, the flowmeter should be installed in the vertical pipe where the fluid flows from bottom to top to avoid the non-full pipe state (see Figure A). Flow measurement interrupted! When measuring fluid flowing from top to bottom in a vertical pipe, the measuring pipe must always be full to ensure correct flow measurement results.

3. Danger of overheating of electronic components! If the fluid temperature exceeds 200 ° C (392 ° F), the nominal DN 100 (4 ") and DN 150 (6") clamp-on instruments (Prowirl D) must not be installed in direction B. When measuring high temperature media (such as steam or fluid temperature (TM) exceeding 200°C (392 °F)): Select installation direction C or D. When measuring cryogenic media (such as liquid nitrogen): Select installation direction B or D. Instrument model with "Wet Steam Detection/Measurement" option: Select installation direction C.
