and reliable E H measuring instruments are the basis for the reliable operation of the process management system. Endress Hauser instruments are designed for safety to help you reduce process control risks and ensure application safety. For us, safety is always the first priority in the design and manufacture of safety instruments based on product, personnel and operational process certification.
E H instrument: product-SIL equipment with reasonable development and independent evaluation; Process-standard functional safety development process; Personnel-competent functional safety organization; Sustainability-strategic functional safety management for sustainable development.
Certified Products Improve Safety and Availability
Since 1999, we have continuously expanded our instrument range to improve the safety of our instruments, achieving the highest safety integrity level of SIL3. Travel time level gauges, vibrating limit switches and static pressure level gauges are some of the major categories we have developed, designed to comply with IEC 61508 standards and independently evaluated by TÜV. Self-diagnostic and self-test functions enhance process safety and device utility.
System improvements through certified personnel and operational processes
certified safety management function system has established the quality and safety policy, to achieve permanent, systematic verification and improvement. For hardware and software development, we take standardized measures to avoid system errors and control random failures. The product safety manual clearly describes the requirements and restrictions in the development of SIL equipment. Extensive test verification helps users choose the right safety equipment and comply with IEC 61511 standards.
failure
Our R & D team has systematically developed a series of measuring equipment that meet the requirements of SIL3, and fully considered the safety of the equipment in the event of failure. Take the newly developed Liquiphant Failsafe product as an example. The reliability of the product has been fully simulated and tested for up to 100,000 hours of normal operation, 500,000 starts and stops, and 1.7 million operating instructions. Before the product was released, there were more than 14000 test cases and more than 2500 test documents to fully verify the performance of the sensor.
mechanical integrity to reduce operational risk
In the design and manufacturing process, our experts follow the clear rules and calculations in EN and ASME standards. Choosing the right material according to the target industry and the actual application is as important as virtual simulation, actual pressure testing or FEM (finite element method). Sealing requirements are met through complex mechanical designs, such as single-layer sealing, double-layer sealing or factory sealing. Material reliability identification and material traceability as well as welding documentation are equally important.
