Core Advantages

The core advantages of this electrode are reflected in the following six aspects:

  • Large-area anti-fouling PTFE annular diaphragm: Sturdy and durable structure, with a long toxic diffusion path design that greatly reduces maintenance workload.
  • Resistant to harsh working conditions: The process glass can withstand strong alkali corrosion and achieve stable measurement at pressures not exceeding 16 bar (232 psi).
  • Reduced downtime: Extends electrode service life and lowers overall operating costs.
  • Optional salt ring component: Meets the measurement needs of low-conductivity media such as boiler feedwater and water for injection.
  • Non-contact inductive signal transmission: Significantly improves process measurement safety.
  • Parameter storage function: Supports storage of sensor and process parameters, facilitating predictive maintenance and ensuring continuous system operation.

Measurement Principle

pH value is a core indicator for measuring the acidity and alkalinity of liquid media. When the electrode glass membrane contacts the measured medium, an electrochemical potential related to the pH value of the medium is generated. This potential originates from the selective permeation of hydrogen ions (H⁺) through the outer layer of the glass membrane, forming an electrochemical boundary layer potential on the membrane surface; the built-in Ag/AgCl reference system provides a stable reference potential. The accompanying transmitter converts the voltage signal into a pH value according to the Nernst equation (NERNST).
