Input type pressure transmitter, ceramic measuring element Using ceramic measuring elements

Scope of application

Static pressure transmitters with ceramic measuring elements are the ideal solution for liquid level measurement in applications such as water and wastewater treatment, deep wells, and ship cabins. The maximum length of the extension cable is 1000 m.

VEGAWELL 52 is suitable for continuous level measurement of liquids. Typical applications include water/sewage treatment, deep wells and ships.

your benefits

  • built-in surge protection to improve equipment utilization
  • ceramic measuring elements resistant to overload and vacuum capacity, high measurement reliability
  • The instrument shell and measuring cable are sturdy and durable, and can be widely used in various occasions

Municipal Wastewater Treatment

Municipal Wastewater Treatment · Static Pressure Measurement — Application Case

Project Background

The project covers the inlet, biological and outlet stages of a municipal plant. The work centres on Static Pressure Measurement and the core task is inferring vessel level or density from hydrostatic pressure.

Operating Challenges

The medium and duty are characterised by high solids and corrosive fractions, with large diurnal flow swings, and effluent parameters drift and probes foul with sludge and biofilm. So Static Pressure Measurement cannot be specified generically — it calls for choosing range by tank height, density and pressurisation.

Solution

The Ainstru engineering team worked through the pressure range: pressure solution matched to process pressure and temperature. The configuration involves choosing range by tank height, density and pressurisation, with these requirements in view: stable compliance with Grade 1A discharge limits and online data reporting.

Results

Since start-up the system has run steadily; the practical result is submersible mounting that avoids civil works in pit and sump retrofits.

Food & Beverage

Food & Beverage · Static Pressure Measurement — Application Case

Project Overview

The site is dosing, pasteurising, filling and CIP stages. The customer wanted Static Pressure Measurement properly configured on the existing plant, with the aim of inferring vessel level or density from hydrostatic pressure.

Technical Challenges

What actually causes trouble is syrups, dairy and beverages that scale easily, under strict hygienic requirements, and frequent cleaning demands instruments that withstand hot CIP/SIP caustic cycles. All of this means the Static Pressure Measurement configuration has to involve choosing range by tank height, density and pressurisation.

Configuration

Supply and installation were organised through the pressure range: pressure solution matched to process pressure and temperature. On site this meant choosing range by tank height, density and pressurisation, checked line by line against: food-safety and hygienic design per 3-A / EHEDG.

Performance

After commissioning the outcome is submersible mounting that avoids civil works in pit and sump retrofits, and the readings are now used for process tuning.

Chemical & Pharmaceutical

Chemical & Pharmaceutical · Static Pressure Measurement — Application Case

Site Conditions

This is a Chemical & Pharmaceutical customer whose plant is at reactors, metering vessels and finished-product tanks. The main task was inferring vessel level or density from hydrostatic pressure.

The Problem

The difficulty lies in highly corrosive media with solvents and crystallisation, partly in explosive atmospheres; at the same time corrosion plus Ex protection shortens instrument life and makes downtime costly. Specification therefore means choosing range by tank height, density and pressurisation.

What We Did

We took a pressure range approach — pressure solution matched to process pressure and temperature. Delivery was built around choosing range by tank height, density and pressurisation, with point-by-point checks on: Ex certification and GMP traceability of records.

Operating Outcome

In service the system performs as intended — submersible mounting that avoids civil works in pit and sump retrofits, with routine maintenance falling noticeably.

Power & Energy

Power & Energy · Static Pressure Measurement — Application Case

Application Context

boiler feedwater, turbine condensate and FGD/DeNOx systems is a typical Power & Energy duty. The project started from Static Pressure Measurement, focusing on inferring vessel level or density from hydrostatic pressure.

Process Constraints

drift under high temperature and pressure, with very costly unplanned outages, and high temperature and pressure with both steam and saline water only amplify it. The Static Pressure Measurement specification must therefore cover choosing range by tank height, density and pressurisation.

Delivery Approach

Delivery was handled as the pressure range — pressure solution matched to process pressure and temperature. Execution centred on choosing range by tank height, density and pressurisation, together with compliance with power-industry codes and unit availability targets.

Field Results

Operation shows the benefit clearly — submersible mounting that avoids civil works in pit and sump retrofits, with confidence in this measuring point improving markedly.
