470020 MIQ/TC 2020 3G

MIQ/TC 2020 3G

WTW 470020
Module IQ Terminal/Controller, configurable as controller (permanently installed) or as terminal with redundant controller function for system 2020, with USB interface, for coupling to any IQ SENSOR NET module

Digital and modular network system for wastewater treatment plant monitoring to connect up to 20 sensors.

The heart of every IQ Sensor Net system 2020 – multi-parameter system for up to 20 sensors with USB interface, remote maintenance and remote communication:

  • Access from remote by integrated webserver IQ WEB CONNECT
  • A solution for every application - up to 20 sensors can be connected, all IQ parameters are measurable
  • Flexible and ready for the future – the IQ Sensor Net can be expanded as needed thanks to its modular design
  • NEW: Terminal IQ - cost-effective supplement without Controller(-BackUp) function

The high-performance processor of the terminal/controller MIQ/TC 2020 3G coordinates all tasks inside the network. The USB interface allows quick data exchange via USB stick or directly to external systems. The system status LED provides reliable and quick information about the function and the system status.

The system stores the measured values of a new connected sensor and all configuration data automatically. The large, colored display and the large buttons ensure a clear and customer friendly operation at any conditions.

When integrating two MIQ/TC 2020 3G into system, the system security and therefore the availability of the total system is ensured by the controller-redundancy-function. This lets you use one MIQ/TC 2020 3G as a terminal and a controller (fixed installation), and a second one as a mobile terminal. By including this into the network, you can have remote communcation as well as remote maintenance.

For the remote maintenance from a PC, you need to install the software IQ Software Pack CONNECT. This setting can be made via a user interface according to the MIQ/TC 2020 3G terminal. In addition, you have the option to transfer measuring and configuration data of the system to a computer. For the control with the IQ Web Connect the MIQ/MC3 is required.

Models:

MIQ/TC 2020 3G: A single Terminal with Controller(BackUp) function
MIQ/TC 2020 3G-CR3: Pre-configured and ready-to-use starter set incl. Terminal/Controller (MIQ/TC 2020 3G), a power supply module (MIQ/PS) and an output module (MIQ/CR3) with 3 current outputs and 3 relays
MIQ/TC 2020 3G-C6: Pre-configured and ready-to-use starter set incl. Terminal/Controller (MIQ/TC 2020 3G), a power supply module (MIQ/PS) and an output module (MIQ/C6) with 6 current outputs
MIQ/TC 2020 3G-EF: Pre-configured and ready-to-use starter set incl. Terminal/Controller (MIQ/TC 2020 3G), a power supply module (MIQ/PS) and an controller module (MIQ/MC3) with ethernet interface for Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP and Profinet

NEW: Terminal IQ

The new Terminal IQ serves as an additional display and operating unit for the 2020 system. Like the MIQ/TC 2020 3G, it can be docked onto any module and offers all the usual setting options. For its intended use as a second or third terminal, it is necessary that at least one MIQ/TC 2020 3G or MIQ/TC 2020 XT is already in the system. This also applies if an MIQ/MC3 or MIQ/MC2 controller module is installed.

Municipal Wastewater Treatment

Municipal Wastewater Treatment · WTW — Stock Configuration Case

Customer Profile

The typical setting in Municipal Wastewater Treatment is the inlet, biological and outlet stages of a municipal plant. The measuring point is WTW; the focus is covering online and laboratory water analysis with WTW instruments.

Key Difficulties

Conditions are high solids and corrosive fractions, with large diurnal flow swings and, on top of that, effluent parameters drift and probes foul with sludge and biofilm, which a standard configuration cannot handle for long. The design therefore starts with selected by parameter set, range and digital sensor protocol.

Implementation

The scope ran through the stock channel: configuring from stock and delivered quickly. Technically it hinges on selected by parameter set, range and digital sensor protocol, and on these requirements: stable compliance with Grade 1A discharge limits and online data reporting.

Customer Benefit

In practice this means plug-and-play digital sensors that keep calibration when swapped, which cut the workload on the site maintenance team.

Food & Beverage

Food & Beverage · WTW — Stock Configuration Case

Project Background

The project covers dosing, pasteurising, filling and CIP stages. The work centres on WTW and the core task is covering online and laboratory water analysis with WTW instruments.

Operating Challenges

The medium and duty are characterised by syrups, dairy and beverages that scale easily, under strict hygienic requirements, and frequent cleaning demands instruments that withstand hot CIP/SIP caustic cycles. So WTW cannot be specified generically — it calls for selected by parameter set, range and digital sensor protocol.

Solution

The Ainstru engineering team worked through the stock channel: configuring from stock and delivered quickly. The configuration involves selected by parameter set, range and digital sensor protocol, with these requirements in view: food-safety and hygienic design per 3-A / EHEDG.

Results

Since start-up the system has run steadily; the practical result is plug-and-play digital sensors that keep calibration when swapped.

Chemical & Pharmaceutical

Chemical & Pharmaceutical · WTW — Stock Configuration Case

Project Overview

The site is reactors, metering vessels and finished-product tanks. The customer wanted WTW properly configured on the existing plant, with the aim of covering online and laboratory water analysis with WTW instruments.

Technical Challenges

What actually causes trouble is highly corrosive media with solvents and crystallisation, partly in explosive atmospheres, and corrosion plus Ex protection shortens instrument life and makes downtime costly. All of this means the WTW configuration has to involve selected by parameter set, range and digital sensor protocol.

Configuration

Supply and installation were organised through the stock channel: configuring from stock and delivered quickly. On site this meant selected by parameter set, range and digital sensor protocol, checked line by line against: Ex certification and GMP traceability of records.

Performance

After commissioning the outcome is plug-and-play digital sensors that keep calibration when swapped, and the readings are now used for process tuning.

Power & Energy

Power & Energy · WTW — Stock Configuration Case

Site Conditions

This is a Power & Energy customer whose plant is at boiler feedwater, turbine condensate and FGD/DeNOx systems. The main task was covering online and laboratory water analysis with WTW instruments.

The Problem

The difficulty lies in high temperature and pressure with both steam and saline water; at the same time drift under high temperature and pressure, with very costly unplanned outages. Specification therefore means selected by parameter set, range and digital sensor protocol.

What We Did

We took a stock channel approach — configuring from stock and delivered quickly. Delivery was built around selected by parameter set, range and digital sensor protocol, with point-by-point checks on: compliance with power-industry codes and unit availability targets.

Operating Outcome

In service the system performs as intended — plug-and-play digital sensors that keep calibration when swapped, with routine maintenance falling noticeably.
