The Endress+Hauser WirelessHART adapter SWA70 serves as an extension interface for HART and 4...20 mA devices, wirelessly connecting field instruments and the WirelessHART Fieldgate. It is powered by battery or an external power supply unit. The WirelessHART adapter can be used in hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
Benefits
Fast upgrade of HART devices to WirelessHART technology
Fast integration of 4...20 mA devices into the WirelessHART network
One adapter can connect one 4…20 mA loop or up to 4 HART devices (in multidrop mode)
Adapter and connected devices support burst mode and event notification
Connect distant, hard-to-access HART devices to the plant control room without laying expensive cables
Simple planning, easy installation and rapid integration
Application areas
Process optimization: connecting adapters makes monitoring and optimization of plant sections twice as effective.
Tank farm and silo monitoring: periodic transmission of measured values, device and battery status signals to higher-level systems.
Plant status monitoring: in plants, devices often cannot be connected to the control room due to accessibility or cabling costs. Wireless devices can then be added at critical points. Improved data flow and diagnostics increase plant reliability and safety.
