Field of application

The FLOWSIC200 accurately measures the flow velocity and direction in tunnels or exhaust ducts without contact. The ultrasonic measuring method provides the average flow velocity over the entire tunnel width. When measuring climate-related and traffic-related air flows, the instrument enables effective and economical control of tunnel ventilation.
Even in the event of a tunnel fire, the flow velocity and direction can be measured reliably, accurately and representatively over the entire tunnel width. Only in this way can smoke propagation be determined and the necessary information for ideal ventilation control be obtained.
