Measuring principle:

Total phosphorus: (compliant with national standard GB11893-89): persulfate is used as the oxidant, heated and digested at 120°C for 30 min to convert phosphorus compounds into phosphate ions, and the total phosphorus content is measured by the molybdenum blue spectrophotometric method. (Measuring wavelength: 700 nm)

Total nitrogen: (compliant with standard HJ636-2012): persulfate is used as the oxidant, heated and digested at 120°C for 30 min to convert nitrogen-containing compounds into nitrate ions, and the pH of the sample solution is adjusted to 2-3; the absorbance of nitrate is detected by UV spectrophotometry.

● Accurate measurement
The advanced multi-wavelength detector enables individual/simultaneous monitoring of the two parameters total nitrogen and total phosphorus. The total phosphorus analysis measuring principle complies with national standard GB11893-89, and the total nitrogen analysis measuring principle complies with national standard HJ636-2012, for more accurate measurement. Total nitrogen measurement also features turbidity compensation.
