The Soliwave microwave barrier switch performs non-contact point level detection and solids flow monitoring (flow/no-flow, flow trend). The instrument can be used for detection and counting, detecting deposits and monitoring the feed process and the quantity of conveyed material. It can be installed in vessels, channels, on stockpiles, in feed stations, pump stations, filters or other free-fall shafts. Measurement from outside a non-metallic vessel is permitted.
Advantages
Convenient installation via R 1½, 1½ NPT thread or G 1½ (with lock nut)
The instrument is robust and operates economically throughout its entire life cycle: no wear, process-wetted parts with ceramic sensor membrane (optional), long service life, maintenance-free
Structurally compatible with the microwave barrier switches FQR50/FDR50 and FQR56/FDR56, so existing process connections can be used; for example, accessories such as adapter flanges, mounting brackets and sight windows can continue to be used
Optional built-in solids flow monitoring function increases the safety of point level detection
The measuring principle is almost unaffected by process properties
Can be used in harsh conditions where other measuring methods are limited
Simple operation via the Nivotester FTR525 with graphic display saves time and costs
Application
Non-contact (wear-free, maintenance-free) point level detection (low/high limit) and flow monitoring (flow/no-flow, flow trend) of bulk solids.
Provides detection, counting and positioning functions
Detects and analyzes deposits and contaminants in filters
Monitors the feed process
Monitors the quantity of conveyed material
Permitted for use in applications with a maximum temperature of 450°C (+842°F)
Permitted for use in applications with a maximum pressure of 20 bar (+290 psi)
