For standard applications, use the FMR56.
The Micropilot FMR57 sensor meets the highest bulk solids level measurement requirements and is suitable for level measurement in tall silos, coal bunkers or stockpiles. The very small beam angle of the parabolic antenna makes it suitable for level measurement in narrow silos. The Micropilot radar level instrument is suitable for continuous, non-contact level measurement of powdered, granular and other bulk solids. The measurement is unaffected by dust, filling noise, temperature changes or gas phase media changes.
Benefits
Hardware and software developed in accordance with IEC 61508; single instrument meets SIL2, SIL3 with homogeneous redundancy
HistoROM integrated data storage unit for fast commissioning, maintenance and diagnostics
High measuring reliability based on multi-echo tracking calculations, with accurate measurement even when obstacles are present in the silo
Heartbeat Technology for efficient and safe plant operation throughout the entire life cycle
Seamless integration into control or asset management systems with an intuitive, menu-guided operating concept (on site or via the control system)
Stable and reliable measurement, unaffected by changes in the medium and process conditions
Certified by world-renowned SIL and WHG tests, saving you time and money
Application areas
Horn or parabolic antenna. With the auxiliary air purging connection, even heavy dust or buildup has no effect on the measurement.
Process connection: 1½" thread or flange
Temperature range: -40 to +400 °C (–40 to 752 °F)
Pressure range: -1 to +16 bar (-14.5 to +232 psi)
Maximum measuring range: 70 m (230 ft)
K-band: 26 GHz
International explosion protection approval, SIL, 5-point linearity protocol
