The radiation source capsule FQG66 is used to house the radiation source in radiometric limit detection, continuous level measurement and density measurement. The radiation is emitted almost without attenuation in only one direction and is shielded in all other directions, ensuring maximum personnel safety and measurement reliability.
Benefits
Highest safety class (DIN 25426/ISO 2919, typical class C66646), allowing simple and convenient source replacement
Extremely strong shielding effect, direct installation without a controlled area
Additional metal source capsule with O-ring seal protects the source from mechanical and chemical influences
Small space requirement, simple installation and various radiation angles for optimum application results
Open/close switch position locked with a padlock for anti-theft protection
Switch status conveniently visible through the glass window in the cover or via the remote display of a proximity switch
Applications
Houses the radiation source for radiometric limit detection, level and density measurement. Highly sensitive rod-type scintillator detectors minimize the surrounding radiation dose
Used when the shielding effect of smaller source capsules (FQG61/62) is insufficient
Source activity: 740 GBq (20,000 mCi) for 137Cs, 185 GBq (5,000 mCi) for 60Co
Process temperature: unrestricted (external installation)
Process pressure: unrestricted (external installation)
