Application area
The VEGAKON 61 is a conductive point level switch for conductiveliquids. The instrument is suitable as full or empty alarm in pipelines.
Your benefit
- Time and cost-saving setup without adjustment with medium
- Optimum cleaning through front-flush installation
- Maintenance-free operation as probe is non-sensitive to buildup
Function
The instruments operate according to the conductive measuringprinciple and are used in conductive liquids. When immersed, the probedetects the product resistance. A low alternating current is detected bythe integrated electronics and converted into an appropriate switchingsignal. The switching point is determined via the mounting position orthe length of the respective probes.
Case Studies
Municipal Wastewater Treatment · conductive — Application Case
Project Background
The project covers the inlet, biological and outlet stages of a municipal plant. The work centres on conductive and the core task is conductive point-level and leakage detection.
Operating Challenges
The medium and duty are characterised by high solids and corrosive fractions, with large diurnal flow swings, and effluent parameters drift and probes foul with sludge and biofilm. So conductive cannot be specified generically — it calls for choosing electrode material and insulation by conductivity and temperature.
Solution
The Ainstru engineering team worked through the level range: level solution matched to the actual tank and silo geometry. The configuration involves choosing electrode material and insulation by conductivity and temperature, with these requirements in view: stable compliance with Grade 1A discharge limits and online data reporting.
Results
Since start-up the system has run steadily; the practical result is no moving parts, giving fast pump and valve interlock response.
Food & Beverage · conductive — Application Case
Project Overview
The site is dosing, pasteurising, filling and CIP stages. The customer wanted conductive properly configured on the existing plant, with the aim of conductive point-level and leakage detection.
Technical Challenges
What actually causes trouble is syrups, dairy and beverages that scale easily, under strict hygienic requirements, and frequent cleaning demands instruments that withstand hot CIP/SIP caustic cycles. All of this means the conductive configuration has to involve choosing electrode material and insulation by conductivity and temperature.
Configuration
Supply and installation were organised through the level range: level solution matched to the actual tank and silo geometry. On site this meant choosing electrode material and insulation by conductivity and temperature, checked line by line against: food-safety and hygienic design per 3-A / EHEDG.
Performance
After commissioning the outcome is no moving parts, giving fast pump and valve interlock response, and the readings are now used for process tuning.
Chemical & Pharmaceutical · conductive — Application Case
Site Conditions
This is a Chemical & Pharmaceutical customer whose plant is at reactors, metering vessels and finished-product tanks. The main task was conductive point-level and leakage detection.
The Problem
The difficulty lies in highly corrosive media with solvents and crystallisation, partly in explosive atmospheres; at the same time corrosion plus Ex protection shortens instrument life and makes downtime costly. Specification therefore means choosing electrode material and insulation by conductivity and temperature.
What We Did
We took a level range approach — level solution matched to the actual tank and silo geometry. Delivery was built around choosing electrode material and insulation by conductivity and temperature, with point-by-point checks on: Ex certification and GMP traceability of records.
Operating Outcome
In service the system performs as intended — no moving parts, giving fast pump and valve interlock response, with routine maintenance falling noticeably.
Power & Energy · conductive — Application Case
Application Context
boiler feedwater, turbine condensate and FGD/DeNOx systems is a typical Power & Energy duty. The project started from conductive, focusing on conductive point-level and leakage detection.
Process Constraints
drift under high temperature and pressure, with very costly unplanned outages, and high temperature and pressure with both steam and saline water only amplify it. The conductive specification must therefore cover choosing electrode material and insulation by conductivity and temperature.
Delivery Approach
Delivery was handled as the level range — level solution matched to the actual tank and silo geometry. Execution centred on choosing electrode material and insulation by conductivity and temperature, together with compliance with power-industry codes and unit availability targets.
Field Results
Operation shows the benefit clearly — no moving parts, giving fast pump and valve interlock response, with confidence in this measuring point improving markedly.
