  • Flow assembly CAV01

  • Flow assembly for optical, chemical-free concentration measurement in drinking water and process water

Advantages

  • Extended maintenance intervals thanks to optimized automatic pressure cleaning.

  • Minimal water loss: precise measurement at low sample flow rates

  • Robust design: suitable for process pressures up to 6 bar (87 psi) and temperatures up to 50 °C (122 °F)

  • Fully compatible with all optical path lengths of the Memosens Wave CAS80E and Viomax CAS51D

  • Pre-mounted wall bracket and fixed sensor orientation for simple installation

  • Tool-free disassembly for fast maintenance

Field of application

  • With the Memosens Wave CAS80E spectrometer or the Viomax CAS51D nitrate/SAC sensor installed, the CAV01 can monitor up to 5 parameters. Thanks to the fast response time of the sensor and continuous measurement, unexpected events in the process can be identified at an early stage. The integrated pressure cleaning function of the assembly ensures extended maintenance intervals. The CAV01 enables precise measurement at low flow rates of 0.1 to 10 l/h, thus minimizing water loss.

  • The CAV01 flow assembly is suitable for bypass measurement of various parameters such as SAC54, COD, BOD, TOC, turbidity, TSS, APHA/Hazen and nitrate in the following applications:

  • Drinking water treatment and distribution network monitoring

  • Quality control at all measuring points in drinking water production

  • Raw water monitoring

  • Process water treatment and monitoring

Municipal Wastewater Treatment

Municipal Wastewater Treatment · brackets — Application Case

Customer Profile

The typical setting in Municipal Wastewater Treatment is the inlet, biological and outlet stages of a municipal plant. The measuring point is brackets; the focus is mounting, fixation and position adjustment for instruments.

Key Difficulties

Conditions are high solids and corrosive fractions, with large diurnal flow swings and, on top of that, effluent parameters drift and probes foul with sludge and biofilm, which a standard configuration cannot handle for long. The design therefore starts with checking structural strength by material, corrosion class and load.

Implementation

The scope ran through the system components range: supplying as a full cabinet and signal-chain configuration. Technically it hinges on checking structural strength by material, corrosion class and load, and on these requirements: stable compliance with Grade 1A discharge limits and online data reporting.

Customer Benefit

In practice this means accurate mounting positions that remove measurement bias at the source, which cut the workload on the site maintenance team.

Food & Beverage

Food & Beverage · brackets — Application Case

Project Background

The project covers dosing, pasteurising, filling and CIP stages. The work centres on brackets and the core task is mounting, fixation and position adjustment for instruments.

Operating Challenges

The medium and duty are characterised by syrups, dairy and beverages that scale easily, under strict hygienic requirements, and frequent cleaning demands instruments that withstand hot CIP/SIP caustic cycles. So brackets cannot be specified generically — it calls for checking structural strength by material, corrosion class and load.

Solution

The Ainstru engineering team worked through the system components range: supplying as a full cabinet and signal-chain configuration. The configuration involves checking structural strength by material, corrosion class and load, with these requirements in view: food-safety and hygienic design per 3-A / EHEDG.

Results

Since start-up the system has run steadily; the practical result is accurate mounting positions that remove measurement bias at the source.

Chemical & Pharmaceutical

Chemical & Pharmaceutical · brackets — Application Case

Project Overview

The site is reactors, metering vessels and finished-product tanks. The customer wanted brackets properly configured on the existing plant, with the aim of mounting, fixation and position adjustment for instruments.

Technical Challenges

What actually causes trouble is highly corrosive media with solvents and crystallisation, partly in explosive atmospheres, and corrosion plus Ex protection shortens instrument life and makes downtime costly. All of this means the brackets configuration has to involve checking structural strength by material, corrosion class and load.

Configuration

Supply and installation were organised through the system components range: supplying as a full cabinet and signal-chain configuration. On site this meant checking structural strength by material, corrosion class and load, checked line by line against: Ex certification and GMP traceability of records.

Performance

After commissioning the outcome is accurate mounting positions that remove measurement bias at the source, and the readings are now used for process tuning.

Power & Energy

Power & Energy · brackets — Application Case

Site Conditions

This is a Power & Energy customer whose plant is at boiler feedwater, turbine condensate and FGD/DeNOx systems. The main task was mounting, fixation and position adjustment for instruments.

The Problem

The difficulty lies in high temperature and pressure with both steam and saline water; at the same time drift under high temperature and pressure, with very costly unplanned outages. Specification therefore means checking structural strength by material, corrosion class and load.

What We Did

We took a system components range approach — supplying as a full cabinet and signal-chain configuration. Delivery was built around checking structural strength by material, corrosion class and load, with point-by-point checks on: compliance with power-industry codes and unit availability targets.

Operating Outcome

In service the system performs as intended — accurate mounting positions that remove measurement bias at the source, with routine maintenance falling noticeably.
