Field of application

The Dosimass Coriolis mass flowmeter is specially designed for filling and bottling applications in the food & beverage and life sciences industries. Dosimass can be installed in confined spaces and is the ideal choice for system integrators, skid builders and equipment manufacturers. Dosimass measures the volume flow and mass flow directly, with temperature and density compensation, guaranteeing high measuring repeatability and remaining unaffected by fluid properties such as viscosity or density. The flowmeter can be used to measure liquids of various properties.

Three electronic versions available for the lightweight sensor:

  • Pulse/frequency/status output version, suitable for cost-effective filling applications

  • Smart pulse output version with IO-Link communication, continuous digital communication for easy commissioning and archiving, provides real-time process information, optimizes filling process conditions and supports predictive maintenance

  • Version with batching function, dynamic volume correction via Modbus RTU communication, supports advanced filling control

Municipal Wastewater Treatment

Municipal Wastewater Treatment · Mass Flow Meter — Application Case

Application Context

the inlet, biological and outlet stages of a municipal plant is a typical Municipal Wastewater Treatment duty. The project started from Mass Flow Meter, focusing on direct mass flow and density measurement.

Process Constraints

effluent parameters drift and probes foul with sludge and biofilm, and high solids and corrosive fractions, with large diurnal flow swings only amplify it. The Mass Flow Meter specification must therefore cover choosing tube geometry by flow range, entrained gas and hygienic needs.

Delivery Approach

Delivery was handled as the flow range — flow solution matched to line size, medium and range. Execution centred on choosing tube geometry by flow range, entrained gas and hygienic needs, together with stable compliance with Grade 1A discharge limits and online data reporting.

Field Results

Operation shows the benefit clearly — no temperature or pressure compensation needed, making custody transfer more credible, with confidence in this measuring point improving markedly.

Food & Beverage

Food & Beverage · Mass Flow Meter — Application Case

Customer Profile

The typical setting in Food & Beverage is dosing, pasteurising, filling and CIP stages. The measuring point is Mass Flow Meter; the focus is direct mass flow and density measurement.

Key Difficulties

Conditions are syrups, dairy and beverages that scale easily, under strict hygienic requirements and, on top of that, frequent cleaning demands instruments that withstand hot CIP/SIP caustic cycles, which a standard configuration cannot handle for long. The design therefore starts with choosing tube geometry by flow range, entrained gas and hygienic needs.

Implementation

The scope ran through the flow range: flow solution matched to line size, medium and range. Technically it hinges on choosing tube geometry by flow range, entrained gas and hygienic needs, and on these requirements: food-safety and hygienic design per 3-A / EHEDG.

Customer Benefit

In practice this means no temperature or pressure compensation needed, making custody transfer more credible, which cut the workload on the site maintenance team.

Chemical & Pharmaceutical

Chemical & Pharmaceutical · Mass Flow Meter — Application Case

Project Background

The project covers reactors, metering vessels and finished-product tanks. The work centres on Mass Flow Meter and the core task is direct mass flow and density measurement.

Operating Challenges

The medium and duty are characterised by highly corrosive media with solvents and crystallisation, partly in explosive atmospheres, and corrosion plus Ex protection shortens instrument life and makes downtime costly. So Mass Flow Meter cannot be specified generically — it calls for choosing tube geometry by flow range, entrained gas and hygienic needs.

Solution

The Ainstru engineering team worked through the flow range: flow solution matched to line size, medium and range. The configuration involves choosing tube geometry by flow range, entrained gas and hygienic needs, with these requirements in view: Ex certification and GMP traceability of records.

Results

Since start-up the system has run steadily; the practical result is no temperature or pressure compensation needed, making custody transfer more credible.

Power & Energy

Power & Energy · Mass Flow Meter — Application Case

Project Overview

The site is boiler feedwater, turbine condensate and FGD/DeNOx systems. The customer wanted Mass Flow Meter properly configured on the existing plant, with the aim of direct mass flow and density measurement.

Technical Challenges

What actually causes trouble is high temperature and pressure with both steam and saline water, and drift under high temperature and pressure, with very costly unplanned outages. All of this means the Mass Flow Meter configuration has to involve choosing tube geometry by flow range, entrained gas and hygienic needs.

Configuration

Supply and installation were organised through the flow range: flow solution matched to line size, medium and range. On site this meant choosing tube geometry by flow range, entrained gas and hygienic needs, checked line by line against: compliance with power-industry codes and unit availability targets.

Performance

After commissioning the outcome is no temperature or pressure compensation needed, making custody transfer more credible, and the readings are now used for process tuning.
